BNV : প্রভু নাথনকে দায়ূদের কাছে পাঠালেন| নাথন দায়ূদের কাছে গেলেন| নাথন বললনে, “এক শহরে দু’জন লোক ছিল| একজন ছিল ধনী, অন্যজন দরিদ্র|
KJV : And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
YLT : And Jehovah sendeth Nathan unto David, and he cometh unto him, and saith to him: `Two men have been in one city; One rich and one poor;

BNV : দরিদ্র লোকটির একটা স্ত্রী মেষ ছাড়া আর কিছুই ছিল না| দরিদ্র লোকটি মেষটাকে খাওয়াতো| মেষটা ঐ দরিদ্র লোক ও তার সন্তানসন্ততিদের সঙ্গেই বড় হল| মেষটা গরীব লোকটার থেকেই খাবার খেত এবং তার পেয়ালা থেকেই পান করত| মেষটা ঐ লোকটির বুকের ওপর ঘুমাতো| মেষটা লোকটির মেয়ের মতই ছিল|
KJV : But the poor [man] had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.
YLT : And the poor one hath nothing, Except one little ewe-lamb, Which he hath bought, and keepeth alive, And it groweth up with him, And with his sons together; Of his morsel it eateth, And from his cup it drinketh, And in his bosom it lieth, And it is to him as a daughter;

ERVEN : But the poor man had nothing except one little female lamb that he bought. The poor man fed the lamb, and the lamb grew up with this poor man and his children. She ate from the poor man's food and drank from his cup. The lamb slept on the poor man's chest. The lamb was like a daughter to the poor man.

BNV : “একদিন এক পথিক ধনী লোকটির সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এলো| ধনী লোকটি পথিককে কিছু খাবার দিতে চাইলো| কিন্তু পথিককে দেবার জন্য ধনী লোকটি তার মেষ বা গবাদি পশুর থেকে কিছুই নিতে চাইল না| ধনী লোকটি, দরিদ্র লোকটির মেষটা নিয়ে এলো এবং তাকে কেটে পথিকের জন্য রান্না করলো|”
KJV : And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
YLT : And there cometh a traveller to the rich man, And he spareth to take Of his own flock, and of his own herd, To prepare for the traveller Who hath come to him, And he taketh the ewe-lamb of the poor man, And prepareth it for the man Who hath come unto him.`

ERVEN : "Then a traveler stopped to visit the rich man. The rich man wanted to give food to the traveler, but he did not want to take any of his own sheep or cattle to feed the traveler. No, the rich man took the lamb from the poor man and cooked it for his visitor."

BNV : দায়ূদ ধনী লোকটির ওপর ভীষণ রেগে গেলেন| তিনি নাথনকে বললেন, “এ কথা জীবন্ত প্রভুর মতই সত্য যে, যে লোক এ কাজ করেছে সে অবশ্যই মারা যাবে|
KJV : And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this [thing] shall surely die:
YLT : And the anger of David burneth against the man exceedingly, and he saith unto Nathan, `Jehovah liveth, surely a son of death [is] the man who is doing this,
RV : And David-s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this is worthy to die:

BNV : তাকে ঐ মেষের মূল্যের চারগুণ বেশী দিতে হবে কারণ সে এমন ভয়াবহ কাজ করেছে এবং তার কোন করুণা ছিল না|”

BNV : নাথন দায়ূদকে বললেন, “তুমিই সেই ধনী ব্যক্তি| প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই কথাই বলেন, “আমি তোমাকে ইস্রায়েলের রাজারূপে মনোনীত করেছি| আমি তোমাকে শৌলের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করেছি|
KJV : And Nathan said to David, Thou [art] the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
YLT : And Nathan saith unto David, `Thou [art] the man! Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, I anointed thee for king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

ESV : Nathan said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
ERVEN : Then Nathan said to David, "You are that rich man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'I chose you to be the king of Israel. I saved you from Saul.

BNV : আমিই তোমাকে তার পরিবার এবং স্ত্রীগণকে দিয়েছি| এবং আমি তোমাকে ইস্রাযেল এবং যিহূদার রাজা করেছিলাম| তাও যেন য়থেষ্ট ছিল না, আমি তোমাকে আরো আরো অনেক কিছু দিয়েছি|
KJV : And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if [that had been] too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
YLT : and I give to thee the house of thy lord, and the wives of thy lord, into thy bosom, and I give to thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if little, then I add to thee such and such [things].

ERVEN : I let you take his family and his wives, and I made you king of Israel and Judah. As if that had not been enough, I would have given you more and more.

BNV : কিন্তু কেন তুমি প্রভুর আদেশ অমান্য করলে? কেন তুমি সেই কাজ করলে যা তিনি (ঈশ্বর) গর্হিত বলে ঘোষণা করেছেন? তুমি হিত্তীয় ঊরিযকে অম্মোনদের দ্বারা হত্যা করালে এবং তার স্ত্রীকে ছিনিয়ে নিলে| এই ভাবে তুমি তরবারির দ্বারা ঊরিযকে হত্যা করালে|
KJV : Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife [to be] thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
YLT : `Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah, to do the evil thing in His eyes? Uriah the Hittite thou hast smitten by the sword, and his wife thou hast taken to thee for a wife, and him thou hast slain by the sword of the Bene-Ammon.
RV : Wherefore hast thou despised the word of the LORD, to do that which is evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
RSV : Why have you despised the word of the LORD, to do what is evil in his sight? You have smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the Ammonites.
ASV : Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah, to do that which is evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
ESV : Why have you despised the word of the LORD, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.
ERVEN : So why did you ignore my command? Why did you do what I say is wrong? You let the Ammonites kill Uriah the Hittite, and you took his wife. It is as if you yourself killed Uriah in war.

BNV : এই কারণে তোমার পরিবারও তরবারি থেকে রক্ষা পাবে না| তুমি ঊরিয হিত্তীয়ের স্ত্রীকে তোমার স্ত্রী করার জন্য নিয়ে এসেছ| এই ভাবে তুমি বুঝিযে দিয়েছ যে তুমি আমায় ঘৃণা করেছ|’
KJV : Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
YLT : `And now, the sword doth not turn aside from thy house unto the age, because thou hast despised Me, and dost take the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be to thee for a wife;
RV : Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

BNV : “প্রভু এ কথাই বলেন: ‘আমি তোমাকে সমস্যায় ফেলব| এই সমস্যা তোমার নিজের পরিবার থেকেই আসবে| আমি তোমার স্ত্রীদের তোমার কাছ থেকে ছিনিয়ে নিয়ে যাবো এবং তোমারই ঘনিষ্ঠ বন্ধুদের একজনকে দিয়ে দেব| সে তাদের সঙ্গে শয়ন করবে এবং প্রত্যেকে তা দিনের আলোর মত জানতে পারবে|
KJV : Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give [them] unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
YLT : thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am raising up against thee evil, out of thy house, and have taken thy wives before thine eyes, and given to thy neighbour, and he hath lain with thy wives before the eyes of this sun;

ERVEN : "This is what the Lord says: 'I am bringing trouble against you. This trouble will come from your own family. I will take your wives from you and give them to someone who is very close to you. He will have sexual relations with your wives, and everyone will know it!

BNV : তুমি বত্‌শেবার সঙ্গে গোপনে শয়ন করেছিলে| কিন্তু আমি তোমাকে এমন শাস্তি দেব যাতে সব ইস্রায়েলীয় তা জানতে পারে|”
KJV : For thou didst [it] secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

BNV : তখন দায়ূদ নাথনকে বললেন, “আমি প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করেছি|”নাথন দায়ূদকে বললেন, “এই পাপের জন্যও প্রভু তোমায় ক্ষমা করে দেবেন| তুমি মরবে না|
KJV : And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
YLT : And David saith unto Nathan, `I have sinned against Jehovah.` And Nathan saith unto David, `Also -- Jehovah hath caused thy sin to pass away; thou dost not die;

BNV : কিন্তু তুমি এমন কাজ করেছ যাতে প্রভুর বিরোধীরা তাঁর ওপর থেকে শ্রদ্ধা হারিযেছে| তাই তোমার শিশু সন্তান মারা যাবে|”
KJV : Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also [that is] born unto thee shall surely die.
YLT : only, because thou hast caused the enemies of Jehovah greatly to despise by this thing, also the son who is born to thee doth surely die.`

BNV : তারপর নাথন বাড়ী চলে গেলেন| দায়ূদ এবং বত্‌শেবার যে শিশুপুত্র জন্মেছিল, প্রভু তাকে অসুস্থ করলেন|
KJV : And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
YLT : And Nathan goeth unto his house, and Jehovah smiteth the lad, whom the wife of Uriah hath born to David, and it is incurable;
RV : And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah-s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

BNV : শিশু সন্তানটির জন্য দায়ূদ ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করলেন| দায়ূদ খাওয়া দাওযা ত্যাগ করলেন| তিনি ঘরের ভিতরে গিয়ে সারারাত সেখানে থাকলেন| সারারাত তিনি মেঝেতে শুয়ে কাটালেন|
KJV : David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
YLT : and David seeketh God for the youth, and David keepeth a fast, and hath gone in and lodged, and lain on the earth.

BNV : দায়ূদের পরিবারের লোকরা এসে তাকে মেঝে থেকে ওঠানোর চেষ্টা করল| তিনি সেই সব নেতাদের সঙ্গে খাবার খেতে অস্বীকার করলেন|
KJV : And the elders of his house arose, [and went] to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
YLT : And the elders of his house rise against him, to raise him up from the earth, and he hath not been willing, nor hath he eaten with them bread;

ERVEN : The leaders of David's family came and tried to pull David up from the ground, but he refused to get up. He refused to eat with these leaders.

BNV : সপ্তম দিনে, শিশুটি মারা গেল| শিশুটি যে মারা গেছে এ কথা দায়ূদের ভৃত্যরা দায়ূদকে বলতে ভয় পেল| তারা বলল, “দেখ, শিশুটি যখন বেঁচ্ছেিল তখন আমরা দায়ূদের সঙ্গে কথা বলার চেষ্টা করেছিলাম| তিনি কিন্তু আমাদের কথা শুনতে চান নি| যদি আমরা বলি যে শিশুটি মারা গেছে, হয়তো তিনি নিজের ক্ষতি করবেন|”
KJV : And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
YLT : and it cometh to pass on the seventh day, that the lad dieth, and the servants of David fear to declare to him that the lad is dead, for they said, `Lo, in the lad being alive we spake unto him, and he did not hearken to our voice; and how do we say unto him, The lad is dead? -- then he hath done evil.`

ERVEN : On the seventh day the baby died. David's servants were afraid to tell him that the baby was dead. They said, "Look, we tried to talk to David while the baby was alive, but he refused to listen to us. If we tell David that the baby is dead, he might do something bad to himself."
